Episode 20: The Personal Space Video

No more breaking toes on legos that are all over the floor or constantly picking up toys!

We're in Midlife. Our Kids are growing up.  It's the perfect time to declutter our homes and recreate our personal space.  When we DECLUTTER OUR PERSONAL SPACE WE DECLUTTER OUR MIND.

It's true! We can create a beautiful environment that adds to our mindset and emotional well-being.  Or, our environment can detract from our emotional health, creating chaos and stress.  In Episode 20 of Life after Kids with Drs. Brooke and Lynne, we're discussing The importance of our PERSONAL SPACE! When decorating your home or reimagining your personal space, it's a good idea to engage all of your senses- what you see, smell, hear, and feel.  Here's a few examples of what creates an uplifting, stress free environment for us:

  • Fresh Flowers

  • Essential Oil Diffuser

  • A Salt Lamp

  • Live Plants

  • Soft Cozy Blankets

  • A Wireless Speaker for playing our favorite playlists

  • Plaques, Canvas, and Artwork with inspiring messages, scripture, or favorite quotes

Having a creative outlet is so important for emotional health.  Redecorating our home and setting up personal space for ourselves is a fabulous way to channel our creativity.  Plus, your environment is a reflection of your mental capacity.  So organizing and prettying up your space will get your creative juices flowing, and spending time in the space you create will improve your mindset and even productivity.

Need some inspiration?  We're talking about our favorite spots in our homes and what we've done with them!  So snuggle up under your favorite blanket, turn on your EO diffuser and watch this week's episode of Life after Kids with Drs. Brooke and Lynne by clicking the picture above.  And remember...

Our environment is reflections of how we feel and who we are on the inside.
