Episode 10: The Resilience Video
Let's face it, life is never going to be perfect, unless you live inside a protective bubble (what fun is that?!). There will always be times of struggle, difficulty, or stress. That's exactly why RESILIENCE is our Second Foundation, and it's our topic of discussion in the week's episode of Life after Kids with Drs. Brooke and Lynne.
Resilience (noun)-
1. the capability of a strained body to recover its size and shape after deformation caused especially by compressive stress
2. an ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change.
So how resilient are you?
When we address RESILIENCE, we address emotional health. But, we also need to go a little deeper. We need to discuss weathering the storms of life and learning from our times of struggle. Then, instead of a stressful time breaking us, it can actually shape us into a better version of ourselves.
As midlife women, we all have stress. We're empty nesting, we're seeking new careers, our hormones are changing, our bodies are changing, and our relationships with our significant other could be a little tense. Let's weather these storms together to become stronger and healthier than we've ever been!
In this week's video we're discussing what it means to be resilient and Dr. Brooke shares a few practical tips for improving emotional health. Watch our latest episode of Life after Kids with Drs. Brooke and Lynne, The Resilience Video, by clicking the picture above.
